The apprenticeship lasts 4 years and follows a modular system. The first 18 months are mostly spent at the Fribourg vocational school, then the apprentice's time is shared equally between the school and the company. In addition to computer studies, the following subjects are also taught: French, German, English, history, political economy, mathematics and physics.
